Eric and Amanda

I have to admit, when Amanda contacted me to photograph her wedding, I got a little more excited - and nervous - than usual. Amanda was the first bride that had no relation to me whatsoever. Since I get all of my clients by word of mouth, someone always knows someone I know. But this time was different and I was ready!

We certainly had one great commonality: we're all Gator grads and, naturally, proud of it! I had conversations with Amanda's Grandfather about how great the Gators are. That's a good environment, indeed! :)

The ceremony was held at First United Methodist Church of Auburndale. The sanctuary had just been remodeled and only open for a few short weeks. It was beautiful. The reception followed at Schalamar Creek Golf and Country Club in Lakeland. I had yet to see a dance floor so large, but Eric and Amanda's friends and family had no trouble keeping it busy.

Planner - Angela M Newell, Sunshine Celebrations (a pleasure!)

Corn.

We're about half way through a self-imposed 'one month without high fructose corn syrup' (or anything with just "corm syrup"). We've cheated a couple of times, we admit it. But our main finding is that 1. hfcs is in most everything, and 2. there's usually a substitute that's just as good without it. It might be slightly more expensive, that's true. For example, every Organic product won't have hfcs in it (Organic ketchup is really good - we recommend it). And we all know buying Organic is a bit more expensive (though I've found buying Organic in bulk can equal out.) I think I've heard that we wouldn't be able to feed everyone if we all ate Organic, too - it's not sustainable. I still think it's the best option.

Anyway, from looking into our diet and seeing what's closest to REAL food and what has the fewest ingredients (and is therefore closest to real food), we made some permanent changes to products we buy. We're hoping to get closer to what our diet is intended to be - various foods that are whole and unprocessed - and less of the all-intruding corn and chemicals.

Ryan, Mindy, and Rhett

Such a fun family! Mindy has a kids' show on XM/Sirius Radio called Absolutely Mindy and she is so much fun! Her husband, Ryan, brought out his banjo and kept everyone entertained. Little Rhett wasn't feeling the best - he ended up having an ear infection, poor guy! But we had a great time hanging out and taking pictures during their Memorial Day vacation to Tampa from Washington, DC.

See all the photos HERE. Enjoy!
