Gatlinburg on Film - 4th of July

For the 4th of July weekend, we braved T's first two flights on an airplane and headed up into the mountains. T was a trooper, but didn't care for the long drives up and down the mountains. We had some great hikes and loved the vacation. My favorite part is always showing Tova new things, like waterfalls. She really loves hiking and getting dirty! Love it!

Day 1 - Tova's first plane ride. Lots of Curious George books. And then checking out the view from the back porch.


Day 2 - Hike








T passed out in the car on the drive down the mountain to eat lunch. She NEVER stays asleep when she gets out of the car unless it's in her crib. We were in shock. And lucky that the restaurant had a cozy bench.



Yes, the house is pink.

Day 3 - Hike to a waterfall.




Determination.

David and I climbed down while the rest of the fam stayed up top - in the top left corner:


How we got back up (maybe I'm a little proud of myself and wish I could do this all the time - stupid flat Florida):



The Ripley's Aquarium - in a tunnel under the penguins, and watching intently.









Day 4 - Ober Gatlinburg

T wouldn't get off the Carousel. But she was very serious about it. Luckily we had unlimited rides.











Day 5 - before we left for home.






Rock. Stick.



I loved the massive hydrangeas everywhere. To me, these only end up in bouquets from distant lands. Hi, bee.
